Drinking green tea everyday has so many great health benefits. I love having this iced tea on hand each morning! With just enough caffeine to get you going, your body will thank you for this delicious unsweetened iced tea.
I am passionate about being prepared for the week ahead and finding efficient solutions to everyday lifestyle problems. Bulk preparing tea (like this green tea), coffee, or meals can make a big difference in how you tackle the week ahead and how prepared you feel to tackle those things. Little things like making a bulk batch of green tea not only saves you money, but it makes a big difference in your mood and outlook on life.

Easy Unsweetened Iced Green Tea!
Equipment
- Large pitcher or container (safe for hot and cold liquids)
- Medium or Large Saucepan or Pot (to hold liquid)
- Electric Kettle (optional)
Ingredients
- 6 cups water
- 6 bags green tea of choice (add more if desired)
- lemon (optional)
- sweetener of choice (optional)
Instructions
- Boil the water in a large/medium saucepan or pot. I love to boil water using an electric kettle! Boiling water with the lid on the pot also helps speed up the process
- After the water has been brought to a boil, let the water calm down for about 3 minutes while you prep the tea bags.
- Remove the green tea bags of choice from their packaging. Place each one in the hot water, laying the string over the side of the pot. I like to spread them out rather than bunching them up in one location. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. The longer you let it sit, the stronger the tea will be.
- Remove the tea bags from the tea. Do not squeeze the bags as it will add bitterness to the tea.
- Let the tea mixture cool down for about 15 minutes or so before transferring to your container of choice. I like to add plenty of ice cubes to help speed up the process, but watch out because too much ice may make the mixture watery! A handful should be enough.
- Transfer the warm tea to your large pitcher or container. Place in the refrigerator and let sit overnight. Your tea will be ready for you in the morning! Feel free to add honey or lemon to your tea before serving. Serve over generous ice.
- Repeat this recipe or double the ingredients as many times as needed. I generally follow a 1 cup to 1 tea bag ratio. Add more or less water or tea bags as needed!

Ikea no longer has the same pitcher that I use for my iced tea, but this one is almost identical!
I love putting my iced green tea in a large glass pitcher because it looks realllly classy, and it prepares you for a weeks worth of tea! You can also have it on hand for gatherings or guests.
