Blog update: Studying for the Bar Exam!

I hope this update finds you all thriving and enjoying your summer! I wanted to take a moment to share what I’ve been up to lately, as this summer has been quite different from the rest.

As many of you know, I’ve been hanging on for dear life in my journey of academic and professional growth. This summer, I’ve been studying for the bar exam! It’s a challenging and intense process, but I’m excited about the opportunity to take this next big step in my career and finalize all of the work I have put in over my 3 years of law school.

My days are currently filled with hours of reading, outlining, and practicing multiple-choice questions and essays. Honestly, it has been more than I thought it would be. It’s a bit of a marathon, but I’m super grateful for the support of friends and family who are cheering me on from the sidelines. I’ve set up a study schedule that keeps me on track while still allowing (forcing myself) for some much-needed breaks and relaxation.

While it’s more than easy to get overwhelmed, staying organized and maintaining a positive mindset are key. More often than not, I have found myself crying and stressing about all there needs to be done. Connecting with other bar exam takers and former classmates has been motivating. We share tips, study resources, and, most importantly, encouragement. I don’t know what I would do if I was doing this all alone!

In between study sessions, I’m *trying* to take care of myself. I’ve been squeezing in some exercise, enjoying the sunny weather, and eating more than I should just to unwind. Balance is crucial more than ever, but maintaining it has been more difficult than ever.

I’m looking forward to crossing this milestone and moving closer to achieving my professional goals!
