I love donuts, so anytime I visit a new place, I tend to gravitate towards donut shops. Spokane, Washington is filled with fun, local restaurants! I love supporting businesses unique to an area. Here are some of my own favorite donut shops to visit on a Sunday morning in Spokane.
1) Donut Parade
This is my favorite donut shop in Spokane. Their donuts just melt in your mouth… Honestly, they remind me of one of my favorite shops from home, but better! If you decide to frequent the shop, they have creative punch cards specifically for coffee, individual donuts, and dozens. The donuts are also SO fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. But, most of all, they are 100% peanut free (for those like me who have severe allergies)!
2) Hello Sugar,
Hello Sugar, is a really cute shop that specializes in mini donuts! And, they are SO Instagramable. The views from the river are just as picturesque. You can even take a scenic walk after you stuff your face with sugar. These cute bite-sized treats are delicious and definitely hit the spot. They also sell a selection of creative coffee drinks. This could definitely be a great place to study on the weekends. Don’t forget to sign up for the rewards/ birthday program, too!
3) Donuts To Go
Delicious donuts from a family owned business of over 20 years! You know someone does donuts right when they’ve been in the business that long. Fresh-made daily, these won’t disappoint. Another great donut shop option if you are in the area!
4) Chaps
Not a donut shop, but a full bakery & restaurant that makes donuts along with a million other baked goods. They have almost every pastry you can think of, and they make everything in-shop! Honestly, everything that my mom and I tried during our visit was simply amazing! I had the lemon chiffon cake and the Monte Christo, along with their hot honey violet latte. I would definitely go here again. Stop by for some brunch with pastries, or just take pastries and coffee to-go.
5) Casual Friday Donuts
Casual Friday Donuts is one of the donut shops loved by the students at Gonzaga University, as it is pretty close to campus. The donuts are HUGE, and they have a creative selection to choose from! Check them out ๐
6) Krispy Kreme
Sometimes, when you are in a new place, familiar is comforting. It is nice to see a friendly face that you can rely on when you don’t actually feel like trying something new. It is also great to know which recognizable chains are located in the area. You can never get enough donuts, either!
