Do you find yourself with more acne during finals week? Was a big project deadline keeping you up at night? Do you notice that the more you stress, the more acne you have? I know it all too well… So, here are 5 of my favorite skincare products for stress acne!
***Make sure to always spot test products on a small part of skin (such as on your hand or wrist) before applying it to large amounts on your face! ***
1) Mary Kay Deep-Cleansing Charcoal Mask
I helped out a friend when she was first starting out her Mary Kay business, and she gave me this product for free! I actually use this SO MUCH! My face is usually pretty oily, and when I feel the stress taking a toll on my skin, I go straight to this product. I had never used Mary Kay before this mask but was pleasantly surprised by the quality! 10-15 minutes is all you need to enjoy this refreshing take on a charcoal mask.
2) Neutrogena Rapid-Clear Face Pads
This product is my favorite for using first thing in the morning. It makes me feel so refreshed and ready for the day! (for up to 8 hours) These little pads are also great for people who are on-the-go. If you are looking for something that’s refreshing and combats acne at the same time, look no further.
3) Differin Restorative Night Moisturizer
Every skin-care routine needs a good moisturizer! Differin is a very trusted brand in my household. I love using moisturizers at night to calm my skin after a long day. This moisturizer is also great to layer on before using a few drops of tea tree oil or a bit of Differin’s Acne Spot Treatment Gel. (psst, keep reading!)
4) Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is a natural and essential oil that can be used for many purposes! It can be used in an oil diffuser, for hair and nails, and even skin. Personally, I just love using tea tree oil for treating my regular acne breakouts. This oil has a super refreshing scent that I find very relaxing, especially at night! Be sure to either mix a few drops of the oil with some moisturizer, or dab it over a recently moisturized face. The oil is quite strong on its own!
5) Differin Acne Spot Treatment
Like the Differin moisturizer, I love to use this on a daily basis because it works wonders. After moisturizing, apply a pea sized amount to your fingertips. Then, dab over the spots and blemishes you wish to treat. Differin is a very trusted brand, but as always, test this product on a small portion of skin before applying it to your entire face. You won’t regret picking up a tube of this gel!
