There are plenty of gorgeous outdoor spots to see in Spokane, Washington! The second largest city in Washington, Spokane is a unique gem with loads of history and picture-worthy sites to see. If you like a balance of city life and natural views, Spokane is a great place to visit during all four seasons.

1) Arbor Crest Wine Cellars
The views from this winery are definitely worth the drive from downtown Spokane! I love visiting wineries and tasting rooms when I visit a new place, and the state of Washington is filled with them! Washington does not receive the credit it deserves for its wine scene, particularly Eastern Washington.
Arbor Crest Wine Cellars offers tastings and casual bites you can enjoy during your visit. The property also offers a great place for events like weddings. This is one of the most beautiful wineries I have visited!
2) Riverside State Park – Bowl and Pitcher Hike
Riverside State Park is also a short drive from Downtown Spokane. The park does charge a small entry fee, but it is worth every penny. The trails and camp grounds offer amazing views and the peace that comes with the classic Washington forests.
My favorite hike, and one of the more popular ones, is Bowl and Pitcher. There is an iconic bridge at the very beginning of the hike, so if you are just in it for the pictures, you don’t need to go far! However, if you do enjoy hiking, the views of the river from the trail are very picturesque.
3) Green Bluff
Green Bluff is a collection of small farms located north of Downtown Spokane. You can go just to enjoy one farm, or you can hop around several farms to see what they each have to offer. Think of it as bar hopping, but for fruit picking!
Before you visit, take a look at the map and the seasonal offerings of the farms you plan on visiting. I visited during late August at the end of the peach-picking season. However, each season has new things to discover! Fall is really popular because every farm puts on their own fall festival.
4) Manito Park
Manito Park is a must-visit if you visit Spokane. It is close to Downtown Spokane, located on the popular South Hill. Definitely visit when the flowers are blooming! These pictures are from late August, and it was absolutely beautiful. The roses were blooming, and The Friends of Manito held a HUGE plant sale.
It is generally a great place to walk during every season. There is also a small, hidden cafe to enjoy. I have been to Manito park SO many times because it is one of my favorites spots to visit in Spokane.
After spending a few hours in Manito Park, I love getting something sweet. Check out my post about the best donut shops in Spokane!
5) Centennial Trail
The Centennial Trail runs throughout Spokane and into Idaho. At 64 miles long, it is huge! There are tons of trailheads and scenic spots to enjoy along the Trail. My favorite spots are around Downtown Spokane, such as Kendall Yards and around Gonzaga University. The great thing about this Trail is that you can go for a walk anywhere along the trail without committing to the entire 64 miles because it attaches to many popular places around the city.
6) Riverfront Park
Of all the places to enjoy, Riverfront Park is one of my favorite outdoor spots to see in Spokane. If you visit Downtown Spokane, chances are you will be right next to Riverfront Park. I love visiting this park because the views of the waterfalls are my absolute favorite. This park has tons to see and do! From kids playgrounds and ice skating to outdoor concerts and events, there is something for everything. Make sure you take a ride on the SkyRide – you won’t regret it!
